    • Assisting clients that go to the office

    The position is on site in our office in Midtown Manhattan, full time, long term

  • SCHEDULER/RECEPTIONIST

    OFFICE of CONGRESSWOMAN NYDIA VELAZQUEZ

    The Scheduler/Receptionist maintains the Congresswoman's official schedule,

    and related records. This position also acts as a liaison for the Congresswoman

    with the staff, public and other Members of Congress.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Prepares the daily schedule for the Congresswoman;

    • Prepares detailed itineraries for the Congresswoman, including important numbers, locations and contact names;

    • Prepares monthly projected schedules for the Congresswoman;

    • Briefs the Congresswoman on all scheduling activities and requests of the Washington, D.C. and district offices;

    • Schedules all staff meetings and briefings involving the Congresswoman;

    • Reviews the Congresswoman's mail and invitations;

    • Responds to all invitations, either by written correspondence or by personal telephone call;

    • Maintains files of invitations that have been declined, accepted, or that are tentative/pending;

    • Monitors the Congresswoman's incoming telephone calls, takes messages, and returns calls as requested;

    • Places outgoing calls for the Congresswoman and maintains a record of calls;

    • Maintains the Congresswoman's files, including notes, correspondence, and all information relating to travel;

    • Acts as a liaison for constituents and other individuals when they visit the Congresswoman;

    • Meets attendance requirements as established by the office;

    • Works well under pressure and handles stress;

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

    • Strong telephone skills;

    • Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish;

    • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to prioritization of and recommendations on appointments;

    • Proficiency in word processing;

    • Strong organizational and filing skills;

    • Thoroughness and careful attention to detail;

    • Ability to perform essential job functions above;

    • Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with others;

    • Temperament to communicate with a variety of personalities in a tactful, pleasant, and professional manner;

    • Knowledge of office administration, policies, practices, and procedures;

    • Knowledge of office computer applications;

    • Knowledge of office equipment & machines; and

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Work is mainly performed in an office environment. Noise levels are usually moderate; and

    • Ability to work in a small work station without an expectation of privacy.

    SALARY RANGE

    $50,000- $55,000
    (depending on experience)

  • SafeCamp is looking for 8-10 part time employees (with potential for full time hours) in the Bronx and around New York.

    SafeCamp is a Covid Testing + Health & Safety company that works directly with productions including TV shows, films, and events to ensure all who work there or in attendance are under covid compliance.

    We are currently looking to fill a variety of part time positions including testers and EMTs, both for daily productions and occasional events. There may be opportunities for additional hours for candidates whose work ethic and performance exceed expectations.

    The average work day starts early in the morning, includes setting up and swab testing a few hundred people, and the average shift is 4-5 hours.

    Qualifications:

    Candidates must demonstrate proven work ethic through resume and references, attention to detail, and ability to handle a flexible schedule including early hours and long days on your feet. The ideal candidate has hospitality experience and is flexible, personable, and enthusiastic.

    Must have reliable transportation to get to locations and be on time as locations can change day to day.

    • Work with small groups of children to reinforce lessons, providing one-on-one instruction to students and supervising students in the classroom.
