The College was chartered in 1974 by the New York State Board of Regents and is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
The College received authorization, August 2008, from the State Education Department to offer the Masters in Teaching English to Students of Other Languages (TESOL).
Boricua has received authorization from the Student Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) to admit F-1 Visa holders; interested F-1 Visa holders should submit their application at the "APPLY NOW" for Spring 2013 link before December 20, 2012.
